School’s Description

The Academy of the Sacred Heart is the oldest independent school in Michigan. Situated on 44 acres with 2 ponds and a Nature Center, the students spend a lot of quality time learning, playing, and appreciating our environment.

As a school we recycle 9 tons of material a year, including plastic, paper, and glass.

We have “no mow” zones to keep our grounds more natural and to save gas.

By an all-school commitment to conserve energy, we have seen a decrease in our energy use by 20% over the last 2 years.
