Organization’s DescriptionProviding sustainable building education and consulting to the general public and building industry. (AES) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission of providing sustainable building education to the general public and building industry. AES was founded in 2000 by a dedicated group of community members who saw the need to help our community create a sustainable city; to ensure that our children and our community would have a healthy, safe and affordable environment within which to live and grow. They felt the best way to contribute to the sustainability and growth of our community was to bring expertise in green building practices and green products by training homeowners, architects, designers, builders and other stakeholders in the construction industry sustainable building principles. AES does this by providing training, education, seminars, and consulting to anyone who is interested in investing in their homes, communities, and environments by implementing sustainable building practices. AES trains and educates on topics such as green products, green building, LEED, energy efficiency, Energy Star, sustainable residential design. AES was the first energy demonstration site in West Michigan and one of the nine in Michigan. Due to the need and the emerging interest of green practices, LEED, and sustainability AES has grown and now serves communities throughout the United States. Our services include
AES is a LEEDer in Green Building with over 300 projects certified and over 600 units projects on in the nation in regards to LEED for Homes and Green Building. We worked on many projects in South East Michigan. Such as Gross Pointe Park & Ann Arbor.
