Organization’s Social Mission

Oakland Community College has been teaching courses about renewable energies (e.g. solar, wind, biomass) and energy management for thirty years. The college offers a certificate of achievement and a certificate in Renewable Energies and Sustainable Living plus a customizable degree in Environmental Systems Technology. Students range from interested community members to professionals coming back to college for additional education and training. Students can focus on manufactured or do-it-yourself system designs as well as sustainable business practices and products.
