Organization’s Description

We are a very passionate group of individuals, dedicated to demonstrating the importance of native plants, biodiversity, and water quality. We host monthly workshops and presentations for the general public on: sustainability, rain gardens, and native planting. We also host an annual River Day event each June in Clarkston, Michigan and have many fun-filled activities for all ages.

Organizations Vision Statement

Educate, promote, encourage, and demonstrate the use of native plants in a variety of landscaping areas in the North Oakland area and the use of gardening techniques that enhance the beauty, add biodiversity and protect the environment. Provide leadership and advocate best management practices to preserve water quality throughout the headwaters and local region.
