DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for the 2018 Binational Lake St. Clair Conference at MacRay Harbor on Lake St. Clair.  The conference will highlight environmental management efforts in the U.S. and Canadian Lake St. Clair watershed. The theme of this year’s conference is building partnerships to advance the social\, environmental and economic health of Lake St. Clair. \nPlanned sessions include: \n\nCultural  and Environmental Management Commitments\nWatershed Impacts and Restoration Progress\nBeach Health\nProtecting Drinking Water\nTourism\, Recreation & Economic Development\nManaging Terrestrial & Aquatic Invasive Species\nFish & Wildlife Habitat Restoration Efforts\nOpportunities to Take Action and Volunteerism\nOpportunities for Recreation\, Tourism and Economica Development around the lake\n\nThe program will include plenary presentations to report on the status of major initiatives in the watershed\, and smaller breakout sessions to focus on specific restoration and protection efforts around the lake. \nWho should attend?\nThis conference is intended for resource managers\, local officials\, elected representatives\, citizens’ organizations\, business/industry representatives\, residents and members of the media with an interest in the binational Lake St. Clair watershed.
