Detroit Waldorf School’s Parent-Child Program provides Waldorf education and resources for parents and their young child from one to three years of age (children age 3+ that are not enrolled in our PreK program are welcome to join). This unique program meets one day a week, where a small group of parents and toddlers come together in an environment that is safe, developmentally appropriate and emotionally nurturing. These classes encourage young children to explore and socially engage in the wonders of imaginative play with simple toys made of natural materials. Children are tenderly guided through the gentle rhythm of circle time, providing them with a rich experience of music and rhyme.

Typical activities include: outdoor play, circle time (songs, finger play, games, nursery rhymes), snack preparation, free play/creative play, crafts and stories.
