SUMMARY:Henry Ford College Studio Theatre holds auditions for premiere production December 15-16
DESCRIPTION:Auditions will be held for the Henry Ford College (HFC) Studio Theatre Friday\, Dec. 15\, and Saturday\, Dec. 16\, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Studio Theatre (Room F-161) in the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center (Bldg. F) on the main campus. \n\nAuditions are for a series of one-act plays scheduled to run May 3-6\, 2018. Those interested in auditioning are required to do cold reads from the scripts of these one-act plays\, according to HFC theater instructor Gerard Dzuiblinski. A memorized contemporary monologue is optional. \n\nRehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:40 to 2:00 p.m.\, starting Tuesday\, Jan. 9\, 2018. Enrollment in THEA 140: One Act Play Production\, which is a three-credit class\, is required of all participants. If you are not already enrolled at HFC but wish to audition\, you can sign up for this class by going to hfcc.edu/admissions. Click “apply” and select either “Guest Student Application” or “Non-Degree Student Application.” \n\n“This is true actor’s theatre with the emphasis on characters and relationships\,” said Dzuiblinski. “Student actors demonstrate their ability to excite you with their commitment\, passion\, and energy in short\, contemporary drama and comedy. These one-act plays will serve as a performance training vehicle for our acting students\, giving those who will not be in the main winter 2018 play production an opportunity for this kind of training.”\n\nFor questions or further information\, contact Dzuiblinski at (313) 845-9817 or gadzuiblinski@hfcc.edu.\n\nSource: Henry Ford College\n\nClick here to be introduced to Henry Ford College!
