DESCRIPTION:Where: 518 Thompson St\, Saginaw\, MI 48607 (main entrance to building)\nWhen: June 7\, 2017 – 3 p.m. \nA ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the New Amadore Apartments to showcase a recent energy efficiency renovation of the property by The Energy Alliance Group of Michigan. \nThe apartment complex is Saginaw county’s first property to take advantage of an innovative energy efficiency financing mechanism approved by the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners. \nKnown as Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE)\, the financing mechanism was used to replace 281 of the original single pane windows installed when the building was constructed in 1929. Replacement parts for the deteriorating window seals and operating mechanisms were no longer available. \nThe windows were replaced with a high efficiency design that maintains the historical look of the structure\, and which won approval from the local historical society. \nTours of the facility will be available immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
