The United States Green Building Councel brings Detroit information which allows conversations to progress about the way we rebuild.
The overall neighborhood scope of LEED is presented in the “See It” session giving us better insight into the purpose of integrative design, a critical component of LEED.
In the “Build It” session, “Is LEED Lean” details design, construction, and building operations along with a presentation on LEED’S Triple Bottom Line expressed in terms of the strategic direction of Detroit’s community building.
The “Use It” session provides the opportunity to network in a LEED Building and take a tour.
We’ll wrap up the day with presentations regarding LEED in the setting of schools and a comparison between various green 3rd party building certification programs with closing remarks from Jess Sobel, Community Development Policy Director MSHDA and Dave Norwood, City of Dearborn, Sustainability Director.
Our speakers list is: Bob Prud’homme, LEED AP, AIA; Debra Sypien, LEED AP BD+C; Kyle Hansen, LEED AP, Dan Kinkead, AIA, Margaret Matta AIA, LEED AP BD+C, AIA; Kevin McNeely, LEED AP, and Ryan Snow, LEED AP BD+C from USGBC National. We look forward to seeing you at our LEED For Community event and have the opportunity to engage, discuss, and network. This event provides CEU credits for LEED AP and Green Associate.
