“With the State of Michigan’s plans to incorporate ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1- 2007 into code in March 2011, this course provides a unique opportunity for code officials, building owners and operators, professionals, educators and students to obtain a first-hand knowledge of this nationally adopted energy building standard”, remarked Lawrence Tech Professor Filza H. Walters, chair for the ASHRAE Professional Development Committee and director of the first Architectural Engineering program in Michigan.
“This year’s conference includes something for everyone who is interested in expanding their knowledge about sustainability, energy efficiency and entrepreneurship activities,” added Associate Professor Janice K. Means, PE, LEED AP of Lawrence Tech, chair of the conference committee and chair of the Engineering Society of Detroit’s Affiliate Council.
