All of us who live, work, or breathe Detroit have opinions and a stake in how Detroit will move forward. And we want to hear from everyone – and especially Detroit’s youth. And here is one great opportunity.
Introducing the first Community Legal Recourses (CLR) Student Essay Contest. Open to 12th grade students who reside in the City of Detroit, we are asking students to explore an issue affecting Detroit that is important to them and what they would do to help solve it.
Winners will be announced at CLR Client Day event on Thursday, March 31.
1st prize – $1,000 scholarship
2nd prize – $500 scholarship
Deadline is Friday, March 11, 2011
