The Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative and Ferndale High School, in conjunction with Ferndale Youth Assistance, invites everyone to attend the Michigan CSI Community Seminar Internet Safety Presentation for Parents and Adults.
Parents and adults will learn information on “cyber safety” including how to access the Michigan Sex Offender Registry and sign up to receive email updates as well as how to obtain reliable information on parental control software.
You will also receive instructions for using online tutorials on how to search and access your child’s social networking sites, view internet history logs to determine where your children have been online and access and modify settings for safer surfing on internet search engines such as Yahoo and Google.
This seminar will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 6:30 until 8:30 at Ferndale High School, 881 Pinecrest, Ferndale MI 48220.
“Kids can be at risk online these days, and this program can help parents learn how to better protect their families from online threats,” said Craig Covey, Ferndale Youth Assistance Chairman.
