(Pontiac) Pure Oakland Water (POW) and Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash are holding a Father’s Day weekend festival at Beaudette Park in Pontiac on Saturday June 14th called “Art-Fish-Fun”.
This very family-friendly event is free, open to the public, and will include a park clean-up, barbeque, hands-on art activities and games, and fishing.
This event is coordinated with our friends at the Art Experience, the Clinton River Watershed Council, the City of Pontiac, and the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s office, and everything is completely free because of generous sponsorships from our partners at Hubble Roth Clark, Nowak & Fraus Engineers, United Water, HNTB Inc., Pipeline Management, and FK Engineers.
Starting with a volunteer park clean-up, through multiple art programs for kids, educational sessions on water environments, barbequing hot dogs, and fishing with the Commissioner, the day will be full of fun for “children” of all ages. Two lucky kids will win free fishing poles as well that day.
Pure Oakland Water is a Michigan registered not-for-profit and is tax deductible under IRS regulations. Its mission is the protection our region’s water resources through education, advocacy, and conservation.
