The Henry Ford College (HFC) Division of Social Science, Arts & Fitness brings “The Good Doctor” – the hit Broadway play that combines the talents of Neil Simon and Anton Chekhov – to the stage for two weekends in August at the Adray Auditorium, located in the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center on the main campus.
“The Good Doctor,” directed by HFC theatre instructor Mary F. Bremer-Beer, will hit the stage on the following weekends:
· Thursday, Aug. 7-Saturday, Aug., 9;
· Friday, Aug. 15-Sunday, Aug. 17.
Times for the play will be Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
“The Good Doctor” is renowned, award-winning playwright Simon’s tribute to Chekhov, one of the greatest writers in Russian history. The play is broken up into a number of different comedy sketches adapted from Chekhov’s short stories. The common thread throughout the sketches is the character known only as the Writer (who is supposed to be Chekhov).
Tickets are $12 for the general public, $10 for senior citizens and HFC employees, and $8 for students with a valid student ID card. You may purchase tickets today at http://theatre.hfcc.edu.
