During Pollution Prevention Week 2014, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, in partnership with the U.S. EPA, the Michigan Manufacturing Association and several Michigan organizations, will provide a one-day seminar highlighting sustainable Manufacturing in Michigan. This first of its kind event will take place on September 17th at Western Michigan University in Kalamzoo and will focus on the diverse stakeholder connections and actions necessary to achieve long-term economic, energy and environmental vitality in the future.

As a framework strategy, E3 is designed to revitalize Michigan’s manufacturing communities and to support on-going innovation and change in a competitive global marketplace.
This seminar is intended for small and medium sized manufacturers/suppliers, local government representatives, LEAN consultants, environmental consultants, original equipment manufacturers, universities, community foundations, and economic development and manufacturing associations.
