For the second consecutive year, Walsh College is one of 75 select national institutions ranked as a “Best for Vets Business College” that provide high-level assistance for service members, veterans and their families by The Military Times.
The Military Times organization, comprised of the Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times, focused on culture and curriculum that cater to military veterans when conducting and scoring its third annual “Best for Vets: Business Schools Survey.” The survey is a highly respected, nearly 80-question analysis of a graduate business school’s complete offerings for veterans.
Selection focuses on veteran culture and curriculum, cost in the context of military and veteran benefits, overall veteran policies and publicly available quality measures.
“This exceptional recognition from a highly respected, military-focused publication is a great honor for Walsh and affirms our emphasis on veterans’ business education needs,” said Stephanie Bergeron, president and CEO, Walsh College. “Veterans and other military members bring unique perspectives, experiences and viewpoints to our student body and faculty. They enrich the classroom experience for everyone.”
Added Lauren Mileto, veteran services coordinator: “The Military Times provides objective, honest recommendations to veterans and their families based on their best interests. Walsh is proud to provide a high level of service to our veterans and their families.”
Walsh sponsors a Military Grant for all active duty or reserve members of the U.S. Armed Forces. When this grant is used with Military Tuition Assistance, it covers all undergraduate tuition costs or a significant portion of graduate tuition costs. Since fall 2012, Walsh has awarded more than $49,000 through the military grant program.
Walsh College also supports an on-campus Student Veteran Organization that provides veterans with community networking opportunities and outreach.
The rankings are published in full in the newsstand issues of Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times, and Marine Corps Times, as well as on ArmyTimes.com, NavyTimes.com, AirForceTimes.com, MarineCorpsTimes.com, and MilitaryTimes.com.
