Henry Ford College (HFC) and the State of Michigan Workforce Development Agency will host a dinner information session on the Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT2) program June 30. This session takes place in the Technology Building (Bld. E) Ghafari Conference Room (123) on the HFC main campus located at 5101 Evergreen Road in Dearborn from 5 to 7 p.m.
This information session provides employers important information about HFC’s CNC and Mechatronics program and how it can help manufacturing and technology companies develop highly trained professionals to fill roles at their organizations. In addition, this information session will offer details about the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program and how the hiring of TAA-certified workers can benefit both employers and workers.
During this session, participants will receive information on the following:
•How employers can meet their needs for skilled talent;
•How to save valuable training dollars through the use of this program;
•How to grow talent in a cost-effective manner;
•Learn about an apprenticeship model that saves time and money;
•Network with other employer partners about their experience working with the MAT2 program; and
•View a CNC project demonstration.
