(New York, NY) Back in 2012, Takeru Kobayashi ate 337 wings in front of 20,000 people at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia
setting a national record. This Labor Day Weekend, Michigan residents will attempt to top that feat with the 2nd Annual Michigan Chicken Wing Festival at Adado Riverfront Park, Downtown Lansing.
On September 2nd – 4th, join the 2nd Annual Michigan Chicken Wing Festival as we continue to secure our position in a host of National “Wing Bowls” spanning across America. Complete with live entertainment, community vending, craft beer, wine and a host of events for the kids including: kids’ entertainment, carnival games and more; weekend activities will culminate with wing eating contest and people’s choice taste contest of the best wings in the mid-west.
Festival Organizer, have spread their wings beyond bringing the first city-wide attraction during Labor Day Weekend since 1999, they have also attached a worthy cause in taking up the reigns of supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. According to the Center for Disease Control, over 124,000 cases of breast cancer emerge yearly in the state of Michigan since 2011.
The Michigan Chicken Wing Festival gates open at 2:00 p.m. on Friday – Sept. 2nd and the 3rd & 4th at 12 Noon until 9:00 p.m.; with an Admission fee of $5 to Adults and children 12 & under free.
