At a meeting last August with North American International Auto Show Marketing Director, Max Muncey, GreeningDetroit.com’s Executive Director Cathleen Francois was asked to add another 3 young talents to their 2017 NAIAS campaign in order to highlight the latest vehicle technologies in personal transportation, urban transportation, and the innovation of connected and autonomous vehicles. Out of that conversation, came an intense search for the new Transport Innovation Patrol, (TIP) Team. “There’s never been anything done like this before for the show,” states Francois. “I’m amazed and impressed by these young experts. I couldn’t be prouder of who they are our new association.”
Last year GreeningDetroit.com introduced Jill Dougherty, now a junior at the College for Creative studies, whose top 10 picks in Automotive Design caught the attention of Detroit’s Channel 7 news crew and several international trade magazines, https://www.greeningdetroit.com/2016/01/19/college-for-creative-studies-student-advances-the-millennial-interests-of-the-2016-north-american-international-auto-show-with-top-10-eco-design-picks-for-greeningdetroit-com/
Added to the new team are Jason Best, Katherine Robertson, and Alan Xia, who will blast off the new year with the aim of engaging their audience and speaking to media about the latest in innovation right up to the point of their presentation of the brand new Greeningdetroit.com TIP Awards. “Our new campaign showcases Millennial Talent as a key to Michigan’s innovative future. It’s our mission to promote Michigan once again as a leader in cutting edge technology and innovation in the automotive industry as well as retain graduates engaged in the automotive fields here in the state as a needed, strong, and viable workforce,” states GreeningDetroit.com Founder, John Carlos. Francois adds, “Never before have we seen such a convergence of technologies as the automotive industry is currently experiencing. This paradigm shift is being driven by the next generation workforce composed of innovative mechanical and software engineers, whose futuristic concepts are encapsulated by upcoming design technicians. It is crucial for Michigan’s industry to embrace and capitalize on the recent changes in automotive skills. Now is the time to embrace these dynamics and showcase the pioneers of these new innovations.”
The TIP Team will converge onto the floor of Automobili-D with the other thousands of media and press representatives on January 9th with full engagement of Social Media outreach by all the parties: Talent, Writers and Production Executives.
The excitement of the Auto Show Experience through the TIP Team has gained international attention, thus sparking their first collaboration with media producer, Jieyu Alatchanian of D-Chinese Radio, a media company also broadcasted within China’s regulatory internet. This is an opportunity that offers companies and other media outlets unique exposure within China and across the globe. Over 50,000 current listeners will be privy to the live Audio and Taped Broadcast at http://www.dchineseradio.com
