July 31, 2017, Dearborn, Mich. — With more than 120 associate degree and certification programs, a bachelor’s degree program in Culinary Arts, a tuition-freeze guarantee, a university center, and exceptional transfer resources available – all at one of southeast Michigan’s most affordable colleges – now is the time to jumpstart your future at Henry Ford College (HFC), the region’s FutureDriven educational institution. Register today! Classes begin Thursday, Aug. 24.
Students have been defining their future through HFC’s market-responsive programs for nearly 80 years. The College’s top-quality faculty and close corporate and industry partnerships provide unparalleled career and educational opportunities for students.
Market pressures and decreased state support have pushed other major colleges and universities throughout Michigan to increase their tuition substantially in recent years. By contrast, HFC has worked to keep its education costs extremely affordable. Students can earn top-quality degrees and certificates at HFC at a fraction of the cost of other educational institutions. Also, students can enjoy arts, culture, and athletics right here on campus.
For a detailed chart of HFC’s rates for the 2017-18 academic year and a tuition comparison calculator, visit hfcc.edu/tuition-and-payment. Tuition starts at just $96 per credit hour for in-district students.
Wherever you want to go, you can get there from here – and save up to approximately $32,000 in the process.

If you enroll at HFC and complete your program within four consecutive years, the College guarantees your tuition will remain the same during that time. Any tuition increase levied by HFC after your initial semester of enrollment will be refunded to you when you graduate. Learn more about the Tuition Freeze Guarantee: hfcc.edu/about-us/guarantee.
HFC is the gateway to a 4-year degree in any field and transferring to a 4-year college or university is seamless. Not only will you save thousands of dollars by starting at HFC, but when you are finished with your associate degree, our Transfer Resources will be there to create an easy path to your bachelor’s degree – in some cases, without even leaving the HFC campus! Major College Partnerships
HFC has partnerships with Madonna University, Siena Heights University (SHU), and Eastern Michigan University (EMU) through its University Center. Students can save money and take classes directly through Madonna, SHU, or EMU right here on the HFC main campus. You can take advantage of evening, weekend, and hybrid classes; personalized advising; and transfer-friendly policies.
Students completing HFC’s Associate of Arts in Telecommunication (TCM) can now transfer seamlessly to Wayne State University’s Bachelor of Arts in Film or Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts & Studies program. If they follow the defined course plan, every HFC TCM class and every HFC general education class will count toward your bachelor’s degree at Wayne State, transferring a maximum of 73 credits.
HFC also has a transfer agreement with the University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) in which students can transfer up to 72 credits toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering – literally right next door!
HFC offers a Reverse Transfer Agreement (RTA) in conjunction with the following colleges and universities:
- EMU;
- Madonna;
- Wayne State;
- UM-Dearborn;
- Michigan State University (MSU);
- Western Michigan University (WMU);
- Walsh College;
- Ferris State University (FSU); and
- Grand Valley State University (GVSU).
RTAs allow students to transfer credits earned at these respective educational institutions to HFC, so that they may be awarded an associate degree retroactively after leaving HFC.
