LAHC-Leaders Advancing & Helping Communities is pleased to announce its plans to award $100,000 in scholarships to area students at a SOLD-OUT event! LAHC’s 30th Annual Awards Gala is scheduled to take place this upcoming Thursday April 19th at 6:00 p.m. at the Edward Hotel and Conference Center in Dearborn. Nearly 1200 leaders of the corporate, government and grassroots community will attend this prestigious event.
LAHC is honored to recognize three remarkable leaders for their success and commitment to the community with the Excellence and Great Achievements Award. Senator David Knezek will be honored for his Community Service to families, seniors and veterans throughout the State of Michigan. Dr. Adel Makki will be recognized for his efforts in promoting education and youth empowerment through the establishment of a 1.2-million-dollar scholarship endowment fund at Ferris State University. Ms. Sarah Palk will be recognized for her advocacy work for people with disabilities.
This sold-out event is proudly presented by Ford Motor Company Fund and the CIA. We are proud to welcome the Fordson High School Choir along with the National Arab Orchestra-Takht Ensemble who will wow the audience with a dazzling performance. Simon Shaykhet, of WXYZ Channel 7 our Media Partner, will emcee the evening. MEA TV & Radio will broadcast the event throughout North America, reaching more than 9 million viewers.
