The Michigan Energy Efficiency Contractors Association (MEECA) is a member-driven trade association working to ensure that Michigan has the most robust, reliable, sustainable, and predictable energy efficiency industry in the nation.
Each year MEECA presents awards to recognize superior performance in Michigan’s energy efficiency industry. The award categories reflect the broad range of work performed by our member contractors across all sectors—residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural—to help homeowners, renters, businesses, and institutions save energy, reduce utility bills, and improve building comfort, health and safety
Because of public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, MEECA cancelled its in-person awards banquet in March. It hosted the rescheduled event in a virtual setting during 3:00-4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2020. Nearly 80 people attended.
The program featured an interview-style keynote session with Michigan’s newest MPSC Commissioner Tremaine L. Phillips. Mr. Phillips shared his current priorities on the Commission and spoke to his prior experience working in the energy efficiency industry. Most recently, he grew Cincinnati 2030 District into one of nation’s largest chapters. His official bio is available at https://www.michigan.gov/mpsc/
Following the keynote session, Mr. Ken Randazzo from title sponsor DTE Energy shared brief remarks. Then awards were presented in seven categories. We congratulate all of the winners, listed below.
