LocalMotionGreen is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting healthy people and a healthy planet through reduced exposure and use of harmful chemicals. We empower people by providing knowledge of ways to reduce this exposure in daily life.

Organization’s Description

LocalMotionGreen spreads the word about simple changes we can all make in our daily lives to protect ourselves from preventable health risks such as cancers caused by toxins in our environment. Earth Day is celebrated each year with an ever-growing fair in downtown Grosse Pointe Farms, which connects consumers to many local green businesses and organizations. Year-long programs include community workshops educating on making your own household cleaners, shopping for safer cosmetics/personal care, and gardening without pesticides. LocalMotionGreen hosts a website plentiful with tips and resources on Green Living, as well as a Healthy Living Library blog, and a Healthy Living Dictionary blog. LocalMotionGreen wants to keep the journey to healthier living a simple one. Our every day decisions do make a difference. Ask us how you can take the next step.
