Organization’s Social Mission

The mission of Madonna University, a Catholic and Franciscan institution of higher learning, is to instill in its students Christian humanistic values, intellectual inquiry, a respect for diversity, and a commitment to serving others through a liberal arts education, integrated with career preparation and based on the truths and principles recognized within a Catholic tradition. One of the University’s core values is reverance for creation. In addition to recycling, energy-saving initiatives and an environmental science major, the university demonstrated its commitment to the environment with its new “green” 60-sq.-ft sustainable Franciscan Center that was submitted for LEED certification. Situated on 49 wooded acres, Madonna University is committed to preserving the environment for future generations of students.
