Water Technology Opportunities in India
India’s market for environmental technologies is worth over $16 billion
Join us for a webinar highlighting water technology opportunities for U.S. companies in India. Experts from the U.S. Embassy in India’s Environment, Climate & Scientific Affairs Section, U.S. Consulate in Kolkata’s Commercial Section, Xylem, and Sannam S4 will provide an overview of India’s market for water technology, including the evolving policy and regulatory landscape, as well as upcoming projects, opportunities and what “next steps” your company can take to win business.
The Issue
India faces declining availability and water quality along with inadequate infrastructure. Compounding these issues, India’s demand for water will grow by 2.4 times and the volume of sewage will increase 2.3 times between 2007 and 2030.
The Response
Water and wastewater is the most promising sub-sector in India’s environmental segment. The sector is expected to grow at 13-15% over the next five years. Significant opportunities exist for companies with technology or equipment that can manage water demand; companies interested in Public Private Partnerships for water supply and distribution; companies able to set up drinking water plants; and companies able to provide integrated water resource management solutions.
