The Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) is currently seeking proposals for presentations to take place during the 2010 Michigan Wind Energy Conference, which will take place April 20th & 21st, 2010, in Detroit, Michigan at COBO Hall. The two-day event will unite people from throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes region to learn about wind energy. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions, meet small and large wind manufacturers, installers, consultants and other industry professionals.
The 2009 Michigan Wind Energy Conference drew an attendance of over
1500 people from around the State and the Great Lakes region.
Presenters are encouraged to submit proposals on the following topics:
- Innovative Technologies & Applications (small wind manufacturing, retrofitting old facilities for manufacturing wind components)
- Impact, Feasibility and Case Studies (avian, wildlife, offshore)
- Jobs and Training (programs available to Michigan residents, installation, maintenance, siting, zoning, forecasting, certification programs)
- Green Investing (small, community, residential options)
- Policy and Financing (siting and zoning small, residential, community, net-metering, financing programs, leasing)
Proposals on related topics will also be given consideration. Please note that sessions are 50 minutes long (including time for questions) and workshops will be scheduled from 1-5 pm April 20th & 21st. Your session, if selected, may be scheduled on either day.
