A Local Farm Box contains only 100% locally grown organic produce. You’ll see peppers and summer squash from Cinzori Farm in Ceresco, spring mix, leafy greens and tomatoes from Eater’s Guild Farm in Bangor, apples from Molter Orchards in Watervliet, MI and so much more!
These boxes will be heavy on the veggies until fruit arrives late in the summer. If you have a hankering for a banana mid-summer, not to worry, you can always sub those in or add them to your order! The Local Farm box is available in two sizes, Bitty and Small.
How does a Local Farm Box differ from the traditional CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model?
With a Local Farm Box you get to enjoy local produce all summer long and still keep the flexibility of a normal Door to Door Organics account. That means you can:
- Substitute up to five items with every order
- Skip or makes changes to your delivery up until 8am the day before
- Schedule a vacation hold when you are going to be out of town
- And add additional items to your order, like locally-sourced meat, locally baked bread from Avalon International and cheese — coming soon!
And as always there’s no commitment, you’ll pay per order and can feel great about supporting a wide variety of local farms in your area. So now to be the first to know when the Local Farm Box becomes available.
