HUG DETROIT With Just A Little LOVE
was created from the hearts and minds of Sheila Everette-Hale (CEO Everette’s Natural Hair & Beauty School, and One HALE of a Production), Sherry Scott (first female vocalist with Earth, Wind & Fire, who also wrote and sang their first top 40 hit “I Think About Loving You”) and Nicole Freeman (CEO of Hug Detroit). Sky’s concept comes from “let’s get back to the days of hugs and handshakes”; Sheila’s concept comes from “LOVE concurs all, LOVE gives all, unconditionally”, and Sherry’s concept is “With Just A Little Love” – the theme song for the entire weekend. When we can all look at one another and see ourselves, then the good that I want for myself I want for you also, regardless of age, gender, social status, culture, race or religion. Together we can rise up out of any situation and create the city we desire and deserve to live in.
