Hispanic Heritage celebration returns this year at Ford Field in Detroit with a stronger lineup of keynote speakers and special event presentations. On September 11th, join the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MHCC), Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC), Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and Ford Motor Company for the second annual installment of Hispanic Heritage Celebration event in Detroit. This is a must attend event and the Chamber strongly encourages attendees to RSVP promptly, as registration will close on September 3rd.
This year’s celebration is expected to sell-out again with over 300 local entrepreneurs, professionals and Hispanic non-profit leaders enjoying an afternoon of meaningful networking and honoring the Hispanic Heritage, by listening to keynote speakers. Special musical performance by Ricardo Naipes.

Anna Cabral, Former US. Treasurer, Unit Chief for Strategic Communications External Relations Division, Inter-American Development Bank
Anna Escobedo Cabral is a second-generation Mexican-American who currently serves as the Unit Chief for Strategic Communications in the External Relations Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Prior to joining the bank, Cabral served as the 42nd treasurer of the United States from January 2005 to January 2009. She became the highest-ranking Latina in the George W. Bush Administration after the resignation of Rosario Marin.
David Mondragon, Executive Director U.S Sales, Ford Motor Company
David Mondragon serves as Executive Director of US Sales for Ford and Lincoln Brands. In this role, Mondragon is responsible for all Field sales and distribution related matters for Ford and Lincoln Brands. Mondragon’s organization includes five market areas and twenty-two Regional Offices in delivery of Ford and Lincoln Sales, Distribution, Market Share and Net Revenue Objectives. Responsibilities also include Certified Pre-Owned, Retail Education and Training, Market Representation and Field Operations organizations.
Jim Avila, Senior National Correspondent, ABC News
Award-winning journalist Jim Avila is the Senior National Correspondent at ABC News, based in Washington D.C. In his role, he covers Hispanic America, immigration reform, education, politics and other issues vitally important to the Latino community, the fastest-growing segment of our population. He also continues to contribute to “20/20” and other ABC broadcasts and platforms specializing in law and justice and consumer investigations. Throughout 2011 and 2012 Jim’s reporting on food, drug, consumer, transportation, environmental and other regulatory issues made a tangible difference in the lives of viewers.
