Macatawa Bank was named one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, and will be formally honored May 7 at MBPA’s annual Celebratory Symposium.
To determine this year’s winners, an independent research firm evaluated each company’s entry on key measures in various categories, including employee enrichment, engagement, retention, communication, shared vision, work-life balance and community initiatives.
“We pride ourselves on being a great place to bank and work,” said Ulli Bowen, Macatawa Bank’s chief human resources officer, in a news release. “We understand the need for and encourage a healthy work-life balance and offer flexible schedule positions and competitive benefits. We have exceptional talent and pride ourselves as a place where people can grow and contribute to their fullest potential.”
It is the fifth time the community bank, which has 26 full-service branches located in Kent, Ottawa and northern Allegan counties, was recognized as one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in West Michigan.
Headquartered in Holland, Macatawa Bank has been awarded for its exceptional commitment to service by readers of the Holland Sentinel as the “Best Bank on the Lakeshore” since 2002, and “Best Bank in Grand Rapids” by readers of Grand Rapids Magazine since 2009.
