While many believe the cars are the stars this weekend along M-1 from Detroit to Pontiac, the Pinnacle Group displayed some of their own “Motown moves” Thursday evening in an up-and-coming revamped downtown Pontiac. The event at Lafayette Market provided the perfect setting for members and guests to enjoy great food and drink, listen to some awesome jazz provided by the Hasting Street Band and hear the Pinnacle Directors differentiate their group from all other networking groups in our area. Last nights attendees included municipal dignitaries such as State Representative Henry Yanez, Assistant Attorney General Mike Goetz, and Assistant Executive Director of Oakland County, Matt Gibb, as well as retired Piston Don Reid, who now sits as Executive Director of Extraordinary Ventures and Sharon Blumeno, Executive of Business Development for Automation Alley.
The evening event also featured a personal tour of the Strand Theatre and Slows BBQ, both slated to open in 2016. These rehabbed properties are certain to further revitalize downtown Pontiac and become another important anchor of the downtown scene currently being re-written along Saginaw Street. This venue is owned by Kyle Westberg and Bill Lee with Ron Cooley as the business partner opening up the same Slows BBQ which has been so successful in the old Corktown neighborhood of Detroit. This one venue alone will allow patrons a great evening experience of dinner, live theatre and musical shows, followed by late evening drinks and music in a relaxed and sophisticated setting.
These monthly Pinnacle gatherings are gaining in popularity as more people attend their events and join the Pinnacle Group to grow their own business while helping others achieve their own goals. Coming off a successful golf outing last month at Oakhurst Golf Club and some wildly successful events in Birmingham, Pinnacle Group appears to be hitting its stride and setting itself up for further growth in 2016.
Business owners have further opportunity to join Pinnacle and take advantage of the growing opportunities available through these unique owner-to-owner events.
