The launch of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) brings positive change to the region and a continued commitment to foster customer collaboration. The updated customer outreach portal is integrated with the GLWA website and Wholesale Automated Meter Reading (WAMR) and Greater Detroit Regional Sewer System (GDRSS) portals to reflect this commitment.
With a new web address (outreach.glwater.org) and updated look, the customer outreach portal will continue to serve as the document archive and calendar for outreach activities, as well as a public education resource for wholesale customers. If you haven’t visited the site lately, take time to do so. The green OUTREACH TOOLKIT bar, located in the right column of the home page, takes you to a toolkit that provides an overview of the outreach process and portal so you can determine how to get or stay involved.
The portal includes:
• Events calendar listing work group and GLWA Board meetings
• Operation Clean Water articles on how GLWA and its suburban wholesale customers manage our water and sewer infrastructure to protect public health and the environment
• Videos created by outreach work groups
• Educational Materials for use by all wholesale customers in their public education efforts
The Registered User area of the portal provides access to:
• Water and wastewater work group meeting summaries and documents dating back to 2008
• Contact information for GLWA and wholesale customers
