Dossin Great Lakes Museum
Join us for a guided maritime tour of the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Saturday, July 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn about the geographic, economic, social and cultural development of the Detroit River and the Great Lakes waterways. Find out how the Great Lakes provide transportation routes for shipping goods and people, and the roles the Great Lakes played in the War of 1812 and World War II.

Detroit Historical Museum
In honor of the 315th Birthday of Detroit, the Detroit Historical Museum is hosting a Film Series screening every weekend in July celebrating Detroit’s diverse cultural heritage. Produced by Keith Famie, “Our Story of…”celebrates Detroit’s exciting cultures in a series of one-hour specials. Screenings begin Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 at 3 p.m. with “Our Polish Story: Family, Faith and Fortitude.” Admission is FREE.
