ARISE Detroit! will host a first-of-its-kind spotlight on Detroit neighborhoods in a new exhibit called “Neighborhoods Rising” from April 22 through June 18 at the Detroit Historical Museum. Sponsored by The DTE Energy Foundation, the exhibit will focus on the neighborhood people and programs that have partnered with ARISE Detroit! since the community mobilization nonprofit began in 2006.More

DETROIT– The Detroit Historical Society’s October film series explores some infamous Detroit history with two exciting features on the city’s criminal underworld. Watch “Detroit Mob Confidential” at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday October 9 at the Detroit Historical Museum and “Killing Jimmy Hoffa” at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. As always, admission to the films and museums is FREE!
Staying in town over the holiday weekend? We’ve got free and low-cost activities on Saturday and Sunday to keep you busy! (Both museums will be closed on Monday, July 4).
