The Plant Based Nutrition support Group, (PBNSG) broke all attendance records August 9, 2017 with over 450 people in attendance at Seaholm High School with the help of Dr Neal Barnard and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, who called Founder Paul Chatlin about the Kickstart Your Health Festival they are hosting on August 10th from 6-9:30 p.m. – http://support.pcrm.org/site/Calendar/1048310549?view=RSVP&id=103502 and offered the book signing event to Chatlin’s organization. The PBNSG holds monthly events, generally at Seaholm and offers some of the most up to date and best information on vegan eating in the Metro-Detroit area.
Bernard signed books at a pre-presentation event where some of the recipes from his book were served, then went onto to speak in the auditorium about the unknown addictive dangers of cheese and the damage it can cause to cholesterol levels and joints, as well as the opiates that cause it to trigger “the same brain receptors as heroin and morphine”.
There’s still a bit of time to register for the Motor City Health Fest at Eastern Market at http://support.pcrm.org/site/Calendar/1048310549?view=RSVP&id=103502
You may also wish to attend the next PBNSG event – a movie screening for What The Health on September 12th in Ann Arbor – check for details on Eventbrite.
