Metro Detroit: ‘Jump’ into a new spin on “YOUR LIFESTYLE EDIT”
Nationally-renown Fitness/Spin instructor Shawn “Jump Man” Jenkins will be helping bring some swag back to Detroit, Metro Detroit, the public airwaves and close-circuit venues in the near future.
The Detroit native will be filming a tv show featuring 12 selected contestants of varying backgrounds that are looking for a physical, mental, spiritual, nutritional, fashion, and technology makeover. The program, which will feature a pilot episode to be filmed at several new upscale and trendy locations throughout the Detroit & Metro Areas. One of these innovative locations will be Red Effect Infrared Fitness in Birmingham, Mich., filming is slated to begin in late February, and will run for the next several ensuing months on CBS- affiliate Reach Me TV, both on-line, through soon-to-be-completed App or on various close- circuit avenues.
The program will also be aired on close-circuit TV at airports across the United States — in front of 200 million monthly viewers — plus in hotel rooms at numerous four- and five-star hotels across the country. The program will also be filtered to various hotels and airports in Europe later in 2018.
“Detroit is a city on the comeback and is now the No. 2 destination in the nation for new technologies. We wanted to air the show here (as synergy) to people wanting to have their own comeback,” said Jenkins, now 56, who was born and raised in Detroit and graduated from Detroit Mumford High School in 1979, and attended Morehouse College before stints in Atlanta and Los Angeles. “We are looking for 12 people who want to upgrade their life, change their budget, stay fit, enjoy the luxury of life, both expensive and inexpensive luxuries of life, and are looking for better benefits of being healthy. We’re sure we can find 12 people from very diverse walks of life to fill the show in Detroit, the New International, Healthy Lifestyle and Fitness City.
Jenkins, who has been filling up Premiere Health Clubs and Fitness Facilities with his outrageously-popular spin and training classes across the country for nearly two decades, will be the host and instructor of the soon-to-be-named TV program. The weekly show will feature one of the many innovative locations like Red Effect, a unique training facility where infrared heat is present all over the location.
“Infrared heat soothes the skin, helps prevent injuries and (muscle pulls). It not only helps soothe the muscles, detox your body, slow the aging process, shorten your recovery, you burn calories up to 36 hours after your workout, but it helps make sure the cardio-vascular system is running smooth,” said Jenkins. “This (infrared technique) will be the new wave of fitness centers and is the perfect place to host this type of show.”
The contestant that displays the most lifestyle adjustments throughout the duration of Season I will win a week-long tropical island trip.
Stay tuned … and ready for a new you.
