Meadowlark Builders, an Ann Arbor-based green design/build custom home builder and remodeler, has purchased two electric hybrid vehicles to add to their existing fleet of fuel-efficient models. In addition – five Meadowlark employees own electric, hybrid and fuel-efficient vehicles for their daily commutes to the Meadowlark offices on West Liberty Road.More

Muskallonge Lake State Park, managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Division, is a remote 217 acre park containing over a mile of Lake Superior shoreline. Secretary Moniz today announced $3.2 million to launch the National Incubator Initiative for Clean Energy, which will create a national support network to serve the clean energy small business and entrepreneur community, providing critical technical assistance and training services in order to bring these businesses and entrepreneurs closer to market readiness.

DTE Energy is funding Michigan’s largest solar array to be built at Ford Motor Company’s World Headquarters, which DTE will construct, operate and maintain for 20 years. The solar canopy will have the capacity to generate 1.038 MW of electricity, making it the second largest solar carport in the Midwest — after the 1.1 MW facility at Ohio’s Cincinnati Zoo.
