High Tech in Highland Park!

Three civic organizations combine efforts to host the first Energy, Sustainability &Tech Fair (ESTF) in historic Highland Park. This event is sponsored by state-wide and local organizations;

All are welcome to participate. This event is designed to engage homeowners, students, professionals, activists, and the just plain curious to network and learn about energy conservation and best practices that you can take home and use.

This FREE event will include a series of break-out sessions, speakers, exhibitors, and a tour of Parker Village, a revolutionary urban development in Highland Park, that is designed to be a model of sustainability, utilizing solar energy, zero net energy construction, blue infrastructure, and environmental and sustainable living measures. The centerpiece of Parker Village is the former Thompson Elementary school. Vacant for decades, the school will be converted to an energy efficient community resource center providing a bridge for the revitalization of the City of Highland Park by creating a gathering space for skills, career training, networking, entrepreneurship, focused in technology, renewable energy, and media.
