Green Initiatives

To provide all residents of Oakland County with recreational, leisure and learning experiences; parks, open spaces, facilities; and professional staff and fiscal management, resulting in a comprehensive county park system that enhances the residents’ quality of life.

Some green practices the parks established include: employee recycling, green cleaning products, using bio-diesel fuel in equipment, instigating no mow zones, and practicing Integrated Pest Management principles. Please view additional detail regarding these practices.
