Ss Peter and Paul Warming Center is an Ignatian mission of people in mutual service to and with our neighbors, many of who live on the street, and whose realities include addiction, grief, shame, fear, impoverishment, and/or mental impairment.
Each weekday we offer laundry facilities, phone and mail service, a quiet place to rest, a warm cup of coffee, a sandwich or bowl of soup, God’s word and a listening heart.
- By providing our guests with these services, we keep them off the street
- We avoid using disposable cups and bowls when serving to reduce waste
- We house an AA group on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays
- We operate the H.E.L.P. program which gives our guests legal assistance
Our volunteer opportunities vary. We have those who come in a cook a meal, while others donate supplies. We have those who talk with our guests, while others prefer to work behind the scenes.
