Organization’s Description

Transition Saint Clair Shores was inspired by the Global Transition Movement and seeks to build community resilience in the City of Saint Clair Shores and throughout the region by focusing on relocalization, sustainability and community.

Transition Saint Clair Shores focuses on raising the awareness of the community in regard to the global issues of Climate Change, Fossil Fuel Depletion and Global Economic Instability. The organization hosts monthly events to educate the public on environmental and social issues facing our society and works to develop grassroots strategies to help mitigate these problems at the local level. The organization has the goal of engaging the majority of citizens in Saint Clair Shores and working on community projects.
