Do you have a High School Senior who is planning on pursuing a degree in engineering or science? If so, nominations for ESD’s 2011 Outstanding High School Student of the Year are due in the ESD office by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 28, 2011. Has your Senior submitted an application yet?
If they haven’t they should….The ESD Outstanding High School Senior Award is given each year for outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement by a graduating high school senior pursuing a career in engineering or science. All applicants will receive a one-year complimentary Student Membership in The Engineering Society of Detroit. One student winner will be selected for the award, which will be presented at the Society’s Annual Awards Program, June 23, 2011 at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. The recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship from The Engineering Society of Detroit.
