Sand and Perfect Summer, both 30 second television ads, highlight the best that summer in Michigan has to offer.
"These latest ads prove once again what we already know – Pure Michigan offers America’s perfect summer," said George zimmerman, vice president for travel Michigan, part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
The ads can be seen on cable television networks nationwide as well as on network stations in regional markets including Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin.
Another recent ad in the national cable television rotation, a spot featuring Traverse City tiled True North, has received more than 10,500 views on YouTube in just two weeks, in addtion to its television airings.
The travel and tourism industry generated $17.2 billion in Michigan last year and helped create an estimated 152,600 jobs statewide. 2011 also saw spending by ot-of-state visitors soar 21 percent, surpassing spending by Michigan travelers for the first time.
