OCC/DMA/WIN Fall Conference. This conference will explore the meaning, implications and career opportunities within advanced manufacturing in southeast Michigan. While manufacturing is again growing, assembly is not. The new advanced manufacturing jobs will require new skills and training.
Participants will gain a better appreciation for advanced manufacturing job opportunities and be better able to promote a manufacturing career. Speakers from the Workforce Intelligence Network will share recent employer studies identifying available positions and their skill requirements in Michigan manufacturing, the status of manufacturing talent in Michigan from a state perspective, views of the current state of manufacturing from the Michigan Manufacturing Association and Society of Manufacturing Engineers, as well as an overview of the HAAS programs for CNC training in Michigan.
