Summer is a season filled with family fun and outdoor activities, boating excursions, camping trips, vacations, proms, graduations, and weddings. These are exciting occasions that should be celebrated with friends and family in a safe and healthy way. Sometimes these summer activities can be unnecessarily linked to the use of alcohol and other substances or be stressful for some people. By hosting this Bike Clinic that also celebrates National Prevention Week 2013, the Royal Oak Community Coalition hopes to increase awareness about the prevention of substance abuse and the importance of mental health, and kick off the summer season in a way that promotes healthy lifestyle choices!
