This event welcomes all “hog” and dog lovers! On Thursday, August 22, from 4pm-9pm, Pat and Dan Kiernan, owners of Kiernan’s Steak House are once again hosting a unique event to help rescued animals in the care of the Dearborn Animal Shelter.
Taking place on the patio of Silky’s Martini & Music Cafe, located at 21931 Michigan Avenue, in Dearborn (adjacent to Kiernan’s Steak House), all are welcome, including Harley enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.
If you have a “hog”, ride it to the event, if you have a crowd-friendly dog, bring him/her to the event. For music lovers, “Dog Bone” George Nigosian and Friends will be performing live, along with special guest local musician Pat Brennan. To help capture the moment, pop into a photo booth provided by Eman Naura of Exposure Photo Booths, with all donations benefiting the shelter.
You can also try your luck at 50/50 raffles, bid on terrific items donated by local merchants during the tin-can auction; like a signed Max Scherzer baseball and Detroit Lion’s tickets. Have a chance to win some super door prizes too.
Biker Bob’s Harley-Davidson dealership of Taylor is once again bringing a fan favorite experience, the Harley simulator. In the simulator, riders can feel the thrill of the wind blowing in your hair without leaving the parking lot. Hogs 4 Dogs promises to be a night of sizzling summer fun for you and your pooch.
Tickets are only $25 each and include, grilled burgers and hot dogs (veggie-burger versions too), soft beverages, and draft beer. Kiernan’s is also opening their patio to pooches. Your pup gets in free! Purchase tickets in advance at Kiernan’s Steak House or Silky’s, or by calling (313) 565-4260. They are also available at the Dearborn Animal Shelter and online on the Shelter website.
