Oakland County Commissioner Jim Nash to host the 6th Annual Oakland County Green Building Workshop. This event will focus on Local Government Collaborations to save energy and develop sustainable policies, Property Assessed Clean Energy for business energy savings and LEED standards for planning Sustainable Neighborhoods.
This free workshop will begin at 9:00 am, Monday, October 17, 2011, with registration starting at 8:30 am, at the new Oakland County International Airport Terminal Building, located at 6500 Highland Road in Waterford, Michigan.
There will be a tour of the newly green built and energy-efficient airport terminal. This workshop is presented by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, Detroit Regional Chamber-US Green Building Council, Oakland County Planning and Economic Development Services, GreeningDetroit.com, Oakland University INCubator Clean Energy Research Center and Oakland County Commissioner Jim Nash of Farmington Hills.
