The Detroit Red Wings game Tuesday, March 9 will be going green thanks to Detroit-based Carbon Credit Environmental Services. Not only the game is going green, but Joe Louis Arena is working hard to become more environmental friendly by exploring ways to reduce heating, lighting, and energy consumption.
CCES is conducting an extensive energy audit and will be providing new options for Joe Louis to reduce energy savings and be more energy efficient, creating electricity from waste heat to reducing heat loss through the roof.
CCES will have an information table in the concourse outside Section 118, handing out information and holding a drawing for a free energy audit and an autographed hockey stick from Red Wind Dan Cleary.
“We applaud Joe Louis Arena for their efforts to ensure the environment and Detroit benefits from their commitment,” said Mike Dolkowski, CCES president.
