Ferndale, MI – Are you looking for opportunities to network with businesses and organizations in the greater Ferndale community? The Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce will wrap up this summer and kick off fall with plenty of exciting networking programs. One of the most popular programs is “Wake Up and Connect”, a morning networking event that occurs semi-monthly.
“Wake Up and Connect” programs are held at 8 a.m. the first Thursday and third Tuesday of each month. Each event is hosted by a different Chamber member, often at their place of business, allowing the host to showcase their business and for members to have a personal experience with a space they may not have formerly visited. The hosts provide refreshments, and members can have casual interactions with other business owners and organizations in the community. There is also a structured networking time where each attendee has the opportunity to address the group for 30 seconds. This pitch can be an overview about their company, a pitch about current specials, job openings, or other asks. These circles help reinforce the business community’s awareness of one another’s abilities and needs and help attendees to connect on points where they can be of service to one another.
As Ferndale Area Chamber members are not all Ferndale businesses, some events are held in neighboring communities including Detroit, Royal Oak, Southfield, and Birmingham, which expands the reach of a members’ business.
Open to the public, the cost is $10 for non-Chamber members. There is no cost to attend for Chamber members.
“I consider “Wake Up and Connect” the foundation of our involvement in the Ferndale Area Chamber. What a great way to start your day: with good coffee and even better people, strengthening existing relationships, and making new connections,” comments Renaissance Vineyard Lead Pastor and Chamber member Jim Poole. “Consistent participation in these events has helped us build a sense of ‘presence’ in the community and strengthen brand awareness, especially among other business and community leaders, who are likely to recommend us to others.”
“Wake Up and Connect” programs are a benefit of a Chamber membership, and one of the many networking events the Chamber provides. Networking at these programs keeps members to up-to-date with the business community and allows the opportunity to find potential prospects from fellow Chamber members. If you are interested in joining the Chamber, please email director@ferndalechamber.com. Members of the Chamber are also provided with tools to increase visibility, stay connected with the area, and improve business practices.
