Michigan Mobile Hard Drive Shredding, LLC
Company’s Description
If you require IT data destruction to protect your client’s information – and your own information – secure onsite hard drive destruction will best satisfy that need. Michigan Mobile Hard Drive Shredding securely destroys hard drives (hard disks) at your location. Also, your potential for liability is eliminated as your hard drives will remain in your possession throughout the destruction process.
Services for Healthcare, Business, Education, Financial Services, and Public Sector
Michigan Mobile Hard Drive Shredding services are performed securely, safely, and quietly. Destruction can either occur inside of our custom enclosed vehicle or be performed inside your facility.
Therefore, you do not need to ship your hard drives offsite to be shred or stand outside in your parking lot to witness your hard drives being physically destroyed.
The shredder processes are designed to be extremely quiet; they won’t be noticed by your customers, employees, or your business neighbors.
M2HDS also shreds data cartridges, DVDs, CDs, and cell phones.
When your shredding is complete, we transport the shredded materials for proper recycling.
Service Area
On site destruction service is available throughout Michigan: Detroit, Dearborn, Warren, Troy, Southfield, Novi, Pontiac, Flint, Saginaw, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Holland, Traverse City, The Upper Peninsula, and all cities in between…
Why Shred?
Many organizations recognize the absolute degree of security that onsite shredding of hard drives can provide. But, there is also legislation in place that directs organizations to protect an individual’s information.
As general examples:
• HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act); patient information
• FACTA (Fair Trade and Credit Transaction Act of 2003); consumer information
• Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (also known as the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999); consumer’s personal financial data, and more.
Penalties for non-compliance can be very severe including fines, officer personal liability, and criminal prosecution. Please make sure your organization is up-to-date regarding the legislation affecting your industry group!
A Recent Community Security Event
Cheri & Tony Skomra of Michigan Mobile Hard Drive Shredding present a check to Adam Hartley, principal of Birmingham Covington School, while Patricia Chinn, assistant principal (far left), and Pauline Roberts, teacher (far right), look on.
At the school’s recent event, parents and community members brought in electronics for recycling and/or shredding. Students from the BCS Thinking Green Team learned about hard drive shredding, the various materials in computers and how they are recycled, and protecting personal information.
Some of the many smiling faces!
Thank you to BCS and the Thinking Green Team!
